The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology held a training workshop on the activation of the electronic learning system using Google class Room for all stages of the primary and postgraduate studies aimed at the development of education at the university in Dar- Salaam Hall in the department. Jamal Majan Ali Al-Rubaie and scientific assistant Khalid Ajmi Sukkar and a number of professors of the department.

The lecture was given by assist. Lect.  Khalid Mansour Sadiq and there was a response from most of lecture  in order to make this system successful and its implementation in the academic year 2017/2018. The system is important in increasing the scientific communication between the professor and the student.

The Control and Systems Engineering Department at the University of Technology grants MSC to the student Mostafa Mohammed for his dessrtation "Development of a robot path planning algorithm based on the modified industrial field"

In this thesis, the researcher proposed four ways to improve the path finding solutions. The four proposed methods were applied to two cases: the first was applied to the robot point and the second on the two-arm robot.

The second method is to use the modified field theory of industrial voltage based on the technique of the optimal particle squadron to find the best coefficients. The third method was done by the modified field theory of industrial voltage based on the technique of the optimal particle squadron to find the best intermediate points. The fourth method is the integration of the methods mentioned above. The best results were obtained through the last method of theoretical and practical application. The discussion was attended by the President of the University of Technology Prof. Amin Douai Thamer and the Director of Administrative Affairs

The discussion committee was joined by Prof. Omar Farouk Lotfi as President and Prof. Ali Hussein Hassan and A. Shaima Mahmoud Mahdi members andAssis.Prof Firas Abdul Razzaq  as a supervisor.

A graduate student from the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, University of Technology, Mohammad Salam Ghannam received a master's degree with an appreciation of his thesis:

Heat Transfer Enhancement of the Prabolic Trough solar Collector using Different Nano Fluid

Improve the heat transfer of a concave parabolic solar collector using different nanomaterials

The letter dealt with the use of different nanomaterials to improve the performance of the Parabolic Trough Solar Collector with different flow velocity (50, 30, 20) per hour. The nanoparticles of CUO, O3 and AL2 were added to the water at a concentration of 0.05% Copper tube as a receiver of sunlight concentrated by the reflector surface.

The results showed that the addition of copper particles CUO to water gives the best performance of the system and flow rate 50 liters / hour gave the best efficiency.

The discussion committee consisted of Prof Abdullatif Ahmed Jadallah as President of SDI Saadi Tred Kurdi from the University of Technology / Department of Electromechanical Engineering and Prof. Aseel Khalil Shi'a from Mustansiriya University - Faculty of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering Department Wa Members Prof. Saad Tami Hamidi and Prof. Fakret Abdul Karim Fattah supervisors of the University of Technology Department of Electromechanical Engineering.
