Production Engineering Department Grants PHD

Production engineering department at the University of Technology grants PHD to the student Zuhair Hassan for his "Managing Waste employing Lean-Grean Integrative Framework"

During the research, three aspects of lean-green integration were identified, such as reduction of the waste markings of the supply chain of society and organization, and the aspect studied in this research from the perspective of the integration of the lean-green. In this paper, a methodology was developed for the integration of the lean - green approach to manage the losses and the efficient use of resources through the five stages of identification of trends of integration, classification of complementary features, application phase, calculation phase of quantitative values and differentiation phase.

The discussion committee was headed by Prof.Dr. Emad Merzah-UOTand the membrane of Prof.Dr.Ayad Abd Hamza-UOB, Asst.Prof.Dr.Sawsan Sabeh and Asst.Prof.Dr.Luma Adnan –UOT, Dr.Sabah Obaid from Ministry of Environment , Prof.Dr.Lamya Mohammed-UOT as asupervisor, Asst.Prof.Dr. Haider Abd Al-Hussein from Bable University as a scientific reviewer and Prof.Dr.Arkan Khalal as a linguistic reviewer.

In celebration of International Women's Day, the University of Technology held its annual annual celebration under the slogan "Iraqi women symbol of unity and construction" on Monday 12/3/2017 in the presence of the President of the University of Technology Dr. Amin Dwaythamar and the assistants of the President of the University for Administrative Affairs Dr. Sami Abu Al-Nun Ajil And Dr. Alaa Abdul Hassan Attieh and a number of heads of departments, centers, directorates and the university's achievements.

The president of the university delivered a speech on the occasion, in which he praised the role of Iraqi women despite the challenges faced by Iraq, which distinguished them from other women in the Arab and Western region, and her role in supporting her brother for all the crises experienced by the country

He said "We must be proud of all the women who have given humanity a lot and left an impact and contributed to building their society. They have attained a high level of faith and great standing with God Almighty, in particular Fatima Al-Zahraa, peace be upon her,".

He pointed out that women constitute 40% of the university which boasts of this formation, which is the best evidence of progress and development, through its distinguished presence in most of the events, activities and scientific activities, and its role in providing the bright image of the university after it obtained independence

 Dr. Hanan Abdul-Rida Akkar, lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering, stressed the importance of the University of Technology to celebrate this occasion as an expression of respect and appreciation towards women for their scientific and administrative achievements

The words cannot talk about women, they are: mother, sister, grandmother, wife, fighter, fighter, martyr and rebel, and sacrifice, whose sons gave redemption to the homeland and liberate its lands from the desecration of terrorism

 She addressed the best women of Paradise: Mrs. Khadija Bint Khuwailad, Maryam Bint Omran, Esayah the daughter of Mazaham and Fatima Al Zahraa "Peace Be Upon Her", the Lady of the World Women, who is mentioned by the believer when he mentions purity, integrity and virtue and called for the implementation of the slogan of the University of Technology "Iraqi women a symbol of unity and construction" to be the platform of our work because we need to speed up the process of construction and development, as well as to make more tender through uniting to be able to rise in construction

 The celebration included poems that sang with love of the homeland and women and the glorification of their sacrifices

A documentary about the role of women at the University of Technology was presented at the ceremony

The ceremony ended with the President of the University, the Administrative Assistant and a number of department heads honoring 90 teachers and staff members in the scientific and engineering departments, departments and centers of the university as well as the distinguished students in appreciation of their efforts in building the scientific march and wishing more to serve our university and our beloved Iraq.

The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Technology organized a course  about teaching of Matlab language (advanced) with the participation of trainees representing the university's technological departments.

The course aimed to teach Matlab language and its applications in order to benefit from scientific and engineering research programs at high speed and accuracy.

Its curriculum included an introduction to Matlab's language, Mathlab's field management symbols, Matlab's important commands, mathematical functions in matlab, control and condition directives, matrices, data processing, function composition in the matlab in Mfil, polynomials in matlab, drawing using matlab.

He gave lectures at the session.Prof.Assis Raghad Kazem Saleh from the Applied Science Department at the University of Technology.

The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Technology organized a course on how to write and publish scientific research with the participation of trainees representing the Ministry of Industry and Minerals.

The course aims to teach participants how to write scientific research and how to write it out and how to write its contents to be accepted for publication in international scientific journals with influence factor, teaching participants how to access the global sites of scientific journals and download research and scientific articles for publication.

The curriculum includes an introduction to scientific research, the contents of scientific research, scientific research plan, highlighting scientific research, use of archiving programs, downloading scientific research in the sites of international journals for publication.

The lectures were given by Dr. Makram Abdulmutallab Fakhry from the Department of Laser and Optical Electronics Engineering

The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Technology organized a course on maintenance of control panels with the participation of trainees representing the North Gas Company.

The course aims to teach the participant how to start maintenance and identify the fault accurately and then maintenance of the unemployed part.

The curriculum includes teaching the participant in the main electronic components, teaching the participant the types of control panels, teaching the participant to explain the internal parts of the control panels, teaching how to read the charts and maps, how to determine the holidays, how to start maintenance of each part is idle.

He gave lectures in the course Lec. Bassam Hameed Abdul and Lec. Sabbah Abdul Hassan Al-Katafa from the Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Technology.
