Production Department Grants MSC

Production and menials engineering department at the university of technology grants MSC to the student Nabaa Deya for her thesis" Study the Effects of Cutting Parameters and the Generated Heat on Chips Hardness and Surface Finish of Stainless Steel 316L"

The researcher concluded that turning is one of the traditional operations, used for a wide range of applications for the production of external and internal cylindrical parts. This thesis focuses on the study of the effect of cutting coefficients such as spin speed, feeding and depth of cutting on the response. Hardness of the surface of the tool and the heat generated by the stainless steel work in the process of turning.

The discussion committee was chaired by Assc.Prof.Dr.Maan Abed from the University of Technology , Assc.Prof.Dr.Mustafa Ahmed from the University of Diyala and Assc.Pr.Dr.Salah Karim  from the University of technology as members , Assc.Prof.Dr.Ahmed Ali Akbar Lect.Dr. Raed Rashid from the University of Technology as supervisors, Assc.Prof.Dr. Saad Hamid from the University of Babylon as scientific reviewer and Prof.Dr. Arkan Khalkal from the University of Technology as a linguistic reviewer.

Laser Department Grants MSC

Laser and Optical Electronics Engineering Department grants MSC to the student Sarah Jammal for her thesis "Construction of a Laser Biosensor Based on the LMA-10 Fiber Mach-Zehnder Interferometer"

The student found that the presence of pregnancy hormone leads to increased refractive index of the urine sample and decrease the intensity of the laser beam outside. Through this test, a calibration of the biological sensor biosensor system was found to examine the pregnancy. Sensitivity to this sensor was 58.407ABS / RIU. In the blood test, the results showed that increased blood hemoglobin concentration increases the absorption of the blood sample of the laser beam. A calibration curve for the biosensor system was found to examine the hemoglobin concentration.

The sensor was also used to detect different types of anemia, such as anemia caused by iron deficiency and anemia. Different blood samples were taken for healthy people and samples for people with anemia. The results showed that the presence of anemia leads to an increase in the severity of the external beam. The sensitivity of iron deficiency anemia and anemia were 28.934ABS / RIU and 23.78ABS / RIU.

The discussion committee was chaired by Prof. Ziad Tariq Mahmood from Nahrain University Assc.Prof.Dr. Eyad Zouen Mohammed from the University of Technology, and Assc.Prof.Dr. Tahreer Safa from Baghdad University as members. Prof.Dr. Fareed Faris from university of technology and Lect.Dr.Layla Mohamed from Baghdad University as supervisors.

Control and Systems Engineering Department at the University of Technology in cooperation with the Central Bank of Iraq held an educational seminar on the financial coverage in the conference hall in the department. The lectures were given by AthraaTaha and Nasreen Karim from the Central Bank of Iraq and in the presence of the head of the Department of Engineering Control and Systems Prof.Dr. Azad Rahim and all the sections of finance and auditing units at the university.

The seminar aimed to prepare this program part of the program prepared by the bank to raise awareness of the community in this area as the country seeks to expand the base of financial and banking services to various groups of society, where the resettlement of salaries of university employees part of this goal.

In addition, the focus of enhancing financial coverage is to support infrastructure, which is the systems used in that country, providing banking structures such as ATM, etc., banking awareness, financial products development and financial education.
