Technology participates in National Conference
University of Technology participated in the conference on "National Standards for Institutional Accreditation Towards the Universality of Iraqi Universities", which was launched by the Minister of High Education and Scientific Research Prof.Dr.Abdul-Razzaq Al-Issa and held at Al Nahrain University on Wednesday 16/5/2018, in the presence of the Vice President for Administrative Affairs Prof.Dr. Sami Abul-Nun Ajeel, representing the President of the University, Prof.Dr. Khalil Ibrahim, a lecturer at the Department of Electromechanical Engineering, Assc.Prof.Dr.Maha Hamoud, the Director of Quality Assurance and University Performance Department.
Dr. Khalil Ibrahim Mahmoud chaired the conference as well as being a member of the committee on the preparation of standards.The Minister of Higher Education revealed in his speech the establishment of a national accreditation institute to prepare quality standards for state institutions with all its specialties and evaluate its outputs. Adding the ministry has been preparing and launching national institutional accreditation standards through the formation of a ministerial committee competent in the field of quality.
The Minister of Higher Education pointed out that these standards will create an atmosphere of positive competition between Iraqi universities and ensured the continuation of the quality of universities and their ability to compete globally. The national standards for institutional accreditation of universities included eight main axes and a number of indicators and elements aimed at achieving the objectives of educational institutions.
University president emphasizes professors' participation for reconstruction affected governorates
University of Technology President Prof.Dr. Amin Douai stressed the need for professors to participate in their research and provide advice in the reconstruction of the affected provinces in the war on ISIS, according to what the Prime Minister Dr. Haider Abadi said at the conference on nanotechnology and advanced materials, early this month.
The President of the University, during the meeting of the General Assembly of the Department of Engineering of Production and Minerals, which was held on Wednesday May 16, 2018, stress on the need for the participation of professors in research and provide advice to raise section, which is to raise the University on various levels, especially in publishing the researches that contribute In the reconstruction of the affected provinces. He also stressed that the production and minerals department has an important role in the development of Iraqi industry.
The University President reviewed the achievements of the university and its progress during the last five years. He also stressed on the preparations for the final examinations, and the development of the basic points of this, and the need for diversity of questions. Adding there would be supervisory committees and follow-up examinations.
The university president pointed to the success of the university in its independence in all scientific, research and administrative aspects, stressing the issue of direct admission, and the students to enroll in the departments and encourage students to do so.
High education Minister mourns faculty

Petroleum Department Hold Seminar
Petroleum Technology Department at the University of Technology held a seminar on the importance of publishing in magazines. The lecture was presented by Assc.Prof.Dr. Najam Al-Rubaie titled "How to get your article published". The lecturer talk about the importance of publishing in magazines with high impact factor as well as the topics that are published and the definition of impact factor as well as general information on the method of writing scientific research for the purpose of strengthening publication in those magazines.
