A Ph.D. Dissertation in Production and Metallurgy Eng. Dept. Has Been Discussed
A Ph. D. Dissertation has been discussed in Production and Metallurgy Eng. Dept. at U.O.T., which was presented by Muhammad S. Jabbar in the field of production engineering to form conical products from metal plates using the deep drawing method with different forming conditions. One-step conical products, both practically and theoretically. It aimed to study the effect of the angle of inclination of the mold wall, the speed of the drawing process, the thickness and type of the metal plate used on the behavior of the elastic rebound, the thickness distribution along the cross-section of the product, and the forming strength used in addition to the number and shape of the ears formed after the forming process of the products theoretically and practically.
(hill48 yield criterion) was used to calculate the coefficients of variation in the properties of the metal and according to the directionality, and the Abaqus 6.14 program was used to simulate and analyze the process of deep drawing in different forming conditions. The results showed a great agreement between the practical and theoretical outputs.
