Electrical Engineering Department organize a scientific visit for its students to the power station south of Baghdad

Electrical Engineering Department at the University of Technology organized a scientific visit for the students of senior students of the electronic engineering branch to the southern Baghdad gas power station in the Ministry of Electricity in the principle of scientific and academic cooperation between universities and state institutions and in order to intertwine the tutorial side with the practical side.

The visit program included a lecture by the station’s engineers about the nature of the station’s work and the production of electrical energy. After that, a field tour was undertaken in the station’s departments and units to introduce the students and their supervisors to the station’s departments, including “the Operations Department, the Mechanical Department, the Electricity Department, the Autonomous Control Department, the Industrial Safety Department, and the nature of the work of gas turbines. All the way to transmitting the produced electrical energy through a network of transmission lines

At the conclusion of the visit, the lecturers and students expressed their thanks and appreciation to the station’s management, represented by the station director, engineers and station employees, for the warm welcome and for their distinguished efforts in making this visit a success.
