Electromechanical Engineering Department organize a scientific visit to the General Company of Soft Drinks
Electromechanical Engineering Department/ Systems Engineering Branch organized a scientific visit for the junior students to the General Company of Soft Drinks, under the supervision of the Head of the Systems Engineering Branch, Assist. Prof. Dr. Israa Saad.
The visit aimed to link tutorial and practical study, clarify some practical applications of systems engineering in the field of industrial processes, and introduce the outputs of the scientific department.
The delegation was received by representatives of the company, where they introduced all the company’s factories, scientific laboratories, machines and equipment, how they work, and the quality of their products through a field tour that began from operating the production lines, the mixing process, and measuring the percentage of concentrations inside the laboratories to the end of the packaging and marketing process, in addition to seeing one of the production lines and a comprehensive explanation of the machines available modern materials, in addition to a visit to the Accufina sterile water factory, where the mechanisms used in producing sterile mineral water were explained by the technical staff.
The visit concluded with the faculty members thanking the company’s representatives who welcomed the lecturers and students of the Electromechanical Engineering Department and expressed their readiness to receive the other stages to view the corridors of the company’s factories. They also expressed their readiness to accommodate all the department’s students for training.
Through the above, it was necessary for the tutorial side to be integrated with the applied side and for the general goal of the applied scientific visit to be achieved, which is to keep pace with applied developments and support the scientific progress movement in the field of engineering to prepare engineering cadres capable of dealing with modern scientific and industrial developments and how to deal with machines and equipment, design production lines, improving the quality of the product, increasing production, reducing the cost, optimum selection of materials used in manufacturing the product, and supporting the Iraqi industrial and economic sector to serve our country, our society, and our university to advance and progression.
