The presidency of the Electromechanical Engineering Department participates in the Youth and Future Conference in Iraq

Under the patronage of the Prime Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Youth Council, Engineer Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani

Head of the Electromechanical Engineering Department, Assistant Professor Dr. Ghassan Abdel Hussein, participated in the “Youth and the Agricultural Future in Iraq” conference, which was held by the Ministry of Agriculture in cooperation with the Secretariat of the Supreme Council for Youth under the slogan of youth-led leadership in the agriculture, food and climate sector and coinciding with the agricultural week of the Baghdad Exhibition for a period Three days from 3/6/7/8/2024.

The conference's goal is youth-led development in a new era of agricultural development, where youth will be at the forefront in actively contributing to a sustainable, pioneering, prosperous, and resilient future.

The conference included many topics, including: innovative agricultural practices, water and irrigation management techniques, agricultural entrepreneurship, climate change, environmental sustainability, carbon markets, investment and financing, agricultural innovation incubators, and training.

The head of the Electromechanical Engineering Department said that youth and the agricultural future in Iraq is considered an investment in the potential and energies of youth in developing and building Iraq to be an effective element in improving the nation’s economy, stressing the importance of exchanging ideas, expertise and experiences in the agriculture, food, climate and entrepreneurship sectors to enhance the culture of creativity and innovation among young people, wishing the conference’s work.
