The University of Technology participate in the Fourth International Conference of Nanotechnology and its Applications 

In cooperation with State Ministries and Institutions, the University of Technology participated in the Fourth International Conference of Nanotechnology and its Applications, which was held by the Industrial Research and Development Authority in the halls of the Iraqi Federation of Industries, and was attended by His Excellency the Minister of Industry and Minerals, Dr. Khaled Battal Al-Najm, the Ministry’s Scientific Advisor, Dr. Ammar Abdullah Hamad, and officials. Experts, researchers, industrialists, and those interested in the nanotechnology field.

The lecture was delivered at the opening session by:

• Prof. Dr. Raed Abdel Wahab, the Head of the Applied Sciences Department,
• Prof. Dr. Qusay Al-Salhi, from Chemical Engineering Department,
• And Editor-in-Chief of Engineering and Technology Journal,
• And it is scheduled by Prof. Dr. Rana Afif Majeed, Director of the Nanotechnology Center.

For the two first days, the conference session was chaired by:

• Dr. Aws Habib Mohammed and,
• Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Noman from the Electrical Engineering Department.

The conference included:

• Scientific sessions for researchers,
• Presented the latest research and technologies in the nanotechnology field, (75) research papers from various State Ministries and Institutions, and,
• (13) International research in engineering fields, technical sciences, medical and pharmaceutical fields as well.

The University of Technology's participation resulted, in His Excellency the Minister's directing to establishment a research division in the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, led by the University of Technology.
