 The Biomedical Engineer Department holds a specialized workshop on Medical counterparts.

The Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Technology, in cooperation with Al-Itqan Medical Devices Company, held a specialized workshop entitled (Medical counterparts), in which the lecture was given by Engineer Al-Waleed Khaled Hashem and Engineer Mustafa Rashid. It was attended by the assistants to the head of the department and a number of the department lecturer’s staff and students.

The courses discussed the role of medical counterparts, which are a flexible, bendable tube with a camera at its end. Doctors use it to examine different parts of the human body through its natural openings, without the need to make surgical incisions in the skin. Medical Peers can be used to examine the digestive system. And other devices depending on the patient's condition and the location of the surgical procedure.
