Lecturer from the Materials Engineering Department delivers a lecture at Al-Mustansiriya University 

A lecturer in the Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Zuhairi, a lecture at Al-Mustansiriya University, College of Engineering, entitled Concepts of Sustainable Materials and Solid Waste Recycling, A Case Study of Plastic Waste.

In it, he focused on the concepts of sustainability and provided a detailed explanation of its three pillars related to the economic, environmental and social aspects, in a way that provides sustainable living through equal opportunities for all and the provision of clean, renewable materials and energy. He also focused on the opportunities to improve the research environment in Iraq as one of the most important means in the renaissance of nations and the production of clean and renewable energy. Green hydrogen production and solid waste recycling operations as one of the radical solutions to save energy, protect the environment, and strengthen the economy in Iraq and our Arab region, and ways to possess technology instead of continuing to transfer what is permitted to be transferred from the West.

The lecture concluded by awarding the Dean of the College of Engineering at Al-Mustansiriya University, Prof. Dr. Malik Jassim Farhan Certificate of Appreciation to Prof. Dr. Muhammad Al-Zuhairi, in appreciation of his outstanding efforts in presenting his lecture.
