Environmental Research Center hold a lecture about the role of community institutions in reducing the phenomenon of violence against women

As part of the center's women's empowerment activities, the Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology held a lecture entitled (The role of community institutions in reducing the phenomenon of violence against women).

The lecture delivered by Assist. Prof. Dr. Shahrazad Mohammed Al- Shadeedy at the University of Baghdad, College of Veterinary Medicine, in which she illustrated what violence is, as it is used all over the world as a tool to influence others. It is also considered one of the matters of interest to law and culture, as they both seek to suppress the phenomenon of violence and prevent its spread. It touched on the history of violence and domestic violence, and that it takes many forms and manifestations. Violence against women and its forms is considered a dangerous scourge that threatens the entity of the family and society, and has serious repercussions on the health and safety of moral and cultural societies and the building of generations, and causes economic, moral, health, and sometimes human losses if it is continued. Therefore, it should be Governmental and non-governmental community institutions contribute to limiting the spread of this phenomenon by all legal and cultural means

The lecture concluded with the Director of the Center, Prof. Dr. Zainab Bahaao Mohammed, awarding the lecturer a certificate of appreciation.
