Lecturers from Electromechanical Engineering Department gain a patent for analysis and enhancing the performance of an evacuated tube solar collector.

Prof. Dr. Hisham Salim Anid and Prof. Dr. Khalid Faisal Sultan from Electromechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology, and the researcher Nagham Abdul Hussein Majeed from the Ministry of Transport - General Company for Iraqi Railways - Hilla Railways, obtained a patent from the Central Standardization Organization the qualitative control entitled (Analysis and enhancement of the performance of the vacuum tube solar collector using the electronic reflective curtain and smart control in Iraq)

The patent: manufacture and design of a smart reflective electronic curtain by controlling the movement of the curtain by applying one of the artificial intelligence methods (Fuzzy Logic Controller) included to improve the efficiency and performance of the vacuum tube solar collector.

The patent consisted of a smart control panel, a smart mobile phone, a smart reflective electronic curtain, and a vacuum tube solar collector. The patent is used in steam power stations to generate electrical energy.
