A symposium about societal values and its impact on reducing drugs hold in Civil Engineering Department

Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Committee in Civil Engineering Department at the University of Technology organized a symposium entitled “Societal Values and their Impact on Reducing Drug Abuse and Homosexuality.” The lectures were given by Assist. Prof. Dr. Hussam Ali Hassan Al-Obaidi, Director of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Department at Al-Kafeel University and Assist. Lec. Haneen Rashid Majeed, Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance Division at the University of Technology, in the presence, the Head of the Department Assist. Prof.Dr. Ali Majeed Khudair and Ms. Afrah Hassan Ali, Director of the Educational Supervision Department in the Department of Religious Education and Islamic Studies at the Shiite Endowment, and a number of heads of branches, lecturers, employees, and students of the university departments'.

The symposium included awareness of drugs hazards and addiction, their causes, the addiction symptoms, drugs effects on the health, social and economic of individual and society, as well as an action strategy to reduce drugs.
