Communications Engineering Department hold a workshop

Communications Engineering Department at University of Technology held a workshop (How to publish in IEEE Transactions a practical guide).

The workshop was part of the department’s skills development program, delivered by Dr. Hussam Hussein Ali, in the presence of graduate students from various departments of the University.

The workshop aimed to introduce graduate students to the referred journals IEEE, the mechanism of writing research, discussing results and scientific literature, the mechanism of sending research, dealing with the opinions of scientific advisor, and the effective method of responding.

The workshop included several pivotal, the most prominent of which were: introducing the IEEE and its specialized journals, the mechanism for writing research for these scientific journals, the basic elements that must be included in the research paragraphs, the mechanism of choosing the appropriate topic and keywords, the mechanism of discussing previous literature, as well as presenting the basic goal, the scientific contribution, and the methods used to reach it. The results are discussed and compared with previous literature, as well as the procedures of sending the research to the relevant journal, dealing with the opinions of scientific evaluators, and writing appropriate responses.
