Communications Engineering Department, under the direction of the department head, Assist. Prof. Dr. Avaneen Anwar Aboud, and in cooperation with Aswmy for Trainiar Acadeng and Development, held an optical cable course in the optical cable laboratory for students and graduates of the department.

The course was held under the direction of Lec. Dr. Hussam Hussein, the chief of Scientific Division and Cultural Relations, and Lec. Hussein Abdul Karim, the chief of Graduates Follow-up, Qualification and Employment Unit.

The course included four lectures, tutorial and practical, about optical cables, their types, the mechanism of their use, and how to deal with them, in addition to optical cable networks for high-bandwidth Internet service for homes and institutions.

The course concluded with a test for the trainees by Aswar Academy experts, in addition to that the trainees will be provided with certificates approved by the Aswar Academy for Training and Development.
