Al-Ghabban receives the director of the Karbala refinery in light of the mechanism of joint cooperation between the University of Technology and the Central Refineries Company

  The President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, received on Wednesday 3/5/2023 in his office the Director of Karbala Refinery, Mr. Mohammad Fazaa Abd, in the presence of professors from the Chemical Engineering Department, each of whom are Prof. Adnan Abdel-Jabbar Abdel-Razzaq and Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar and Mr. Sattar Jalil Hussein from the Oil Research and Development Center.

This meeting came to enhance meaningful scientific communication between the academic institution and the field of work.

The President of the University blessed the Ministry of Oil and the Central Refineries Company for the national achievement achieved by the opening of the Karbala refinery in the holy city of Karbala, which is considered one of the modern international oil refineries, indicating the readiness of the University of Technology to provide all scientific support and backing for this strategic project. On the one hand, the director of the Karbala refinery expressed his thanks and gratitude to the presidency of the University of Technology for its role in scientific support for projects that seek to strengthen the national economy and work to open prospects for joint cooperation between the two parties.

Karbala refinery is considered one of the environmentally friendly oil refineries without any pollutants and with a production capacity of 140,000 barrels per day.
