University of Technology President call for the activation of joint supervision between the university and the Industrial Research and Development Authority in a memorandum of understanding
University of Technology President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, called for activating joint supervision between the university and the Industrial Research and Development Authority and developing the scientific expertise of engineering cadres and university students through a memorandum of understanding concluded with both sides.
This came during the signing of a scientific memorandum of understanding between the University of Technology and the Industrial Research and Development Authority of the Ministry of Industry, in the presence of President Assistant of Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussien H. kareem, President Assistant of Scientific Affairs Prof. Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, the Director of Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations Department Assist. Prof. Dr. Abbas Jawad Sultan, and the Director General of the Industrial Research and Development Authority at the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, Dr. Ahmed Younis Qassem and his accompanying delegation.
The mechanism included another step in the path of cooperation between government institutions, through the promotion of scientific, cultural and research cooperation, the establishment of educational and training programs and the exchange of experiences in order to achieve excellence in the scientific and cultural fields.
Al-Ghabban said that we had a long relations with companies affiliated with the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, and we discussed with them mechanisms for training students and putting them into the labor market, stressing the need for a joint scientific conference between the two sides to solve all scientific problems that would stop projects that contribute to building our beloved country.
For his part, Dr. Eng. Ahmed Younis Qassem said that we are happy to receive the students of the University of Technology, especially Junior and Senior, in our centers to train them and develop their scientific expertise according to courses and an annual training plan, and to form research teams between the two sides.
For her part, Khawla Salah Khashan explained that we are ready to develop the engineering cadres affiliated with the Authority according to modern scientific approaches and to provide postgraduate students at the university with projects to be worked on and developed within predetermined timings.
In conclusion, the authority's shield was handed over to the President of the University of Technology by the Director General of the Industrial Research and Development Authority, in appreciation of the role played by the university in supporting the scientific process.
