Within the annual cultural season, the Department of Oil Technology at the University of Technology organized a scientific lecture entitled: (Applications of Artificial Intelligence in the Oil Industries) and on the smart hall in the department building.

 The lecture was delivered by prof. Dr. Salam Jabbar Al-Rubaie / Middle East Technical University - Northern Cyprus, and in the presence of the head of the department, Prof.Dr. Fadel Sarhan Kazem and a large number of teachers, associates and students.

The lecture showed that machine learning and training is one of the most important applications of artificial intelligence in the oil and gas industry, as the great development in the use of artificial intelligence software will lead to development in drilling and production operations, save human effort and prevent risks to the drilling team, which greatly reduces the risk, which reduce the huge costs that can disrupt the growth of oil companies' activities in hydrocarbon extraction, and smart applications help mitigate the environmental impacts of oil and gas energy production.

 At the end of the lecture, the department head presented the shield of excellence and a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer, Dr. Salam Jabbar Al-Rubaie for his fruitful efforts.
