The Department of Electromechanical Engineering holds its scientific seminar on the oil and gas industry in Iraq
Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof.Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, under the direct supervision of the Head of the Electromechanical Engineering Department, Prof.Dr. Hisham Selim Aneed and in the presence of the assistant president of the university for administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim, the department held its scientific seminar on the oil and gas industry between reality and ambition at Al-Kindi Hall
The seminar was attended by many heads of departments, professors, associates and university students.
In his speech, the President of the University confirm the importance of holding these seminars, and that the University of Technology is a proactive in holding seminars and conferences related to the edges of science, congratulating the efforts made by everyone in advancing the progress of the wheel of science in the service of our dear country.
While the head of the department welcomed all the attendees, expressing his hope that the seminar would reach several recommendations that serve the public interest.
During the seminar, one session was held in which three lectures were given. The first was for the Head of the Oil and Gas Equipment Engineering Branch in the Electromechanical Engineering Department, Prof.Dr. Raheeq Ismail Ibrahim entitled (Modern and Innovative Methods in Developing the Oil Equipment Work), and the second lecture was entitled (Modern Control Systems in Oil Refineries) delivered by Dr. Ramez Mahdi Jawad from Al Wasat Refineries Company - Dora Refinery, while the third lecture was for the director of the Rusafa site in the company Filling and gas services, Engineer Muhammad Farouk Abdul-Khaleq, entitled (The Reality of the Gas Industry in Iraq).
The seminar reached a number of important recommendations, including coordinating the establishment of cooperation between the University of Technology, the Oil and Gas Equipment Engineering Branch, the Dora Refinery and the Gas Filling Company, as well as an agreement with the oil companies to conclude contracts for graduate students to complete the scientific aspect in the oil companies, in addition to discussing the development of curricula towards the labor market with oil companies.
