A  Master  thesis in Dept. of Applied Sciences at U.O.T. discussed the preparation, diagnosis and application of some nanocomposites as enzymatic mimetics.

The thesis of the student, Alaa Ahmed Majeed, aimed to prepare some nanocomposites (ZnO and Fe3O4 .). (Fe2O3 and SnO2)), diagnosed and then applied as an imitation of the work of some important enzymes for living organisms in general and for humans in particular (acetylcholinesterase enzyme AChE, catalyst enzyme CAT and peroxidase enzyme. Pxase).

The researcher reached at certain conclusions, including that the prepared nanocomposites can imitate the action of the enzymes selected for imitation, and this could be a qualitative leap by using imitating nanocomposites to make the enzymes, especially imitating the action of the acetylcholinesterase enzyme, for which there is currently no nanocomposite imitating its work.

The discussion committee consisted of :-

1- Prof. Basema Mohsen Sarhan / Head

2- Asst. Prof. Dr. Salal A.  Abdullah/ Member.

3- Asst. Prof. Dr. Wafaa R. Muhammad / Member.

4- Prof. Dr. Rashid Talib Rasheed / Supervisor.
