System and Control Engineering Department Grant MSC
The System and Control Engineering Department at University of Technology grants MSC to the student Ali Hassan for his thesis "Optimal Multi –objective H-Infinity Model Reference Controller Design".
The thesis was about the sobriety of the control system as one of the main concerns in the modern control theory where there is an increasing interest in designing efficient and strong control units that provide reliable performance and stead characteristics for closed loop systems to face disturbance. The H-infinity theory is considered a popular and interesting approach in the field of sober control for being easily formulated comparing to other sober control methods.
In this thesis, the researcher explained the design of three proposed control methods for nonlinear systems based on the H-infinity controller. A new method known as the block hole method to optimize the proposed control methods in addition combining H-infinity with model reference control to achieve appropriate response time.
The discussion committee was chaired by Prof.Dr.Shebli Ahmed and the membership of Asst.Prof.Dr.Omar Waleed, Asst.Prof.Dr.Safana Modher and Prof.Dr.Hazim Ibrahim as a member and supervisor.
