Chemical Engineering Department at UOT held a remote electronic workshop entitled:

“Feasibility study from chemical engineering perspective”

On Tuesday, 6/16/2020

By the oil expert, Eng. Ahmed Shihab Farhan, in which he addressed the importance of feasibility studies for projects in general and in the chemical industries in particular, especially oil refineries. The lecture included details, calculations and software for feasibility studies for refineries projects in Iraq, after which questions and discussion were asked by participants from inside and outside Iraq. The workshop won the approval of the participants.

 

High Studies division of Computer Science Department at UOT held a workshop about (electronic exams for 2ed semester of high studies) on zoom cloud platform in cooperation with administration and implement electronic exams committee on Tuesday 9/6 at 2 pm on zoom cloud platform.

 The workshop included guidance and instructions for high- study (Msc & Phd) students’ bout electronic exams for 2ed semester of academic year 2019/2020.

 The head of the department, Prof. Dr. Alia K. Abdul Hassan, started the first minutes of the workshop with a speech for high-study students, in which she said:

 In light of the exceptional circumstances, all the lectures have fulfilled their obligations towards their students with dedication, and now we have reached the end of 2ed semester required to perform electronic exams for high-study students.

  It is very important in the experience of electronic examinations to assume the existence of academic ethics for the student and good thinking.

In light of these circumstances, we are all required to return this stage to safety, everyone is appreciative of the circumstances and obstacles, but we wish you calm and reassurance and helping to complete this stage by preparing what possible preparations for taking the exam and completing this semester, Allah willing, with your lecturers efforts, you, and everyone efforts we pass and in the best results at this stage.

 

Chemical Engineering Department at UOT held a remote training workshop entitled ((Steps for preparing exam questions using the Google Classroom platform) for high studies exam 2ed term of 2019-2020

The workshop was displayed on the free conference call platform on Tuesday 6/6/2020

Under the supervision of the head deputy prof. Dr. Jamal M. Al-Rubaie, and with the participation of the department’s lecturers and exam committee members

The workshop was delivered by Lec. Safa Amin, Lec. Bashir Ahmed Abdel Hussein and Dr. Haider Abdel Ali, where the lecturers discussed the steps to take the exam and how to upload the answers. The mechanism of the electronic exam and the tasks of the exam committee were also clarified, and how questions are uploaded in the electronic classroom and how to send students ’answers to the lecturer and the process of checking and returning them to the examination committee, as well as lecturers’ questions and queries were answered.

It is worth noting that the Chemical Engineering Department has completed all preparations for implementation and supervision of final exams for high studies according to the instructions received from the ministry and the university about the electronic exams mechanism for high studies.
