  Petroleum Technology Department held a workshop entitled: (Analytical Chemistry Laboratory) delivered by Dr. Muayad Mohamed Hassan and Lect. Rana Abbas in the chemistry lab in the presence number of employees and lecturers.

The lecture included giving the basic principles analytical chemistry theories, laws and practical experiments and applying the basic principles of laboratory safety during the preparation of standard and initial solutions and that to inform the laboratory staff and get benefit from them.

 

Assessment Model for Cadastral Survey System Evaluation.

This workshop aims to create an ongoing research project that aims to use a specific model to improve the performance of the cadastral survey system and evaluate it in meeting societal and legal requirements and land use.

The structural model solves the question of what to measure and how to measure through a set of criteria and performance indicators.

These model parameters aim to bring a different understanding of the performance of the cadastral survey system in a scientific framework and measure its performance through standard measures.

Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed J. Mohammed from Electromechanical Department Engineering at UOT delivered a workshop across zoom platform about electronic exams management by using Google Classroom

Through the workshop participants have train how to prepare electronic exams, whether mid or final exams, and create a question from by using Google forms, which form a set of different questions such as explanatory questions or multiple choice or raise drawings and pictures within the answer forms, which can adjust the electronic design program and the student receive the result Immediately, or it is possible to delay receiving the answer after correcting it by the teacher. And it is possible uploading electronic lecture on YouTube to get benefit for those who have not joined to participate.

The Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology held a panel discussion entitled Parasites in the Iraqi Environment, the lecture by Prof. Dr. Saleh Abdul-Redha Al-Saleh delivered a lecture explaining that the parasite is an organism lives on another organism.
The presence of the another parasite add a fundamental role in enabling the parasite to live, grow and reproduce, as the parasite is generally smaller than the another parasite. The parasite uses the another parasite's resources to complete its life and maintain itself. The size of the parasite ranges from microscopic size (about 70% of parasites not visible to the eye, such as malaria parasites) to macroscopic size (as in some helminths of up to 30 m).

Parasites exist in a variety in the Iraqi environment and have the ability to reproduce at rapid rates , thus it compose a real threat to human health if it is not diagnosed early. The environmental pollution plays a fundamental factor in its spread, such as drinking contaminated water and eating unclean or undercooked foods. Therefore, the lecturer recommended the necessity of health and environmental awareness in this regard to avoid its dangers,The lecturer pointed .

 

The teaching staff of the Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Sarmad Emad Ibrahim, and Prof. Lama Aker Majllo, and Dr. Rabab Asim and Dr. Nasir Abdel Hussein Nasser and Lec. Ali Kamel Ahmed and Lec. Muhannad Najm Abdul Wahid, Engineer Hamza Shuaia Azab, Ali Amer Hamid and Yasser Hassan Abbas in the workshop marked "The role of media in fighting rumors, which was held by the Media and Public Relations Department in cooperation with the Center for Continuing Education.
 And gave lectures from the College of Education for Girls / University of Baghdad Prof. Dr. Athamar Shaker Majeed.
The lectures dealt with the definition of rumors, their advantages and objectives, psychological explanations of rumors, motives for spreading rumors and spreading, means of communication, and their effects. The case of Iraq took a model, and measuring the impact of rumors in the Iraqi street.
