The President of UOT participates in virtual international conference about e-learning
The President of UOT, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan El-Ghabban, participated in the virtual international conference for e-learning, which is part of the government program of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, concerning e-learning, distance learning and long life.
Al-Ghabban chaired the second axis, which included the educational applications of Google, where a summary of the university's activities and achievements was explained and conducted in relation to e-learning.
The conference aims to educate in this aspect, especially with the need for e-learning now in the context of the Corona pandemic.
This conference is the first e-learning conference in Iraq that held online.

The Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Center gave a video lecture entitled (Diagnosis and characterization of nanomaterials) on Saturday 4/18/2020 at nine o'clock delivered by the director of the center, Dr. Abbas K. Hussein.
The lecture aimed to:
1- The defination of the diagnostic tools for nanomaterials and devices which found in the Nanotechnology and Advanced Materials Research Center.
2. The defination of nanomaterials diagnostic processes in general.

The Central University Committee announces assessment results of the Audit committees in the scientific departments
The Central University Committee consisting of the Registration and Student Affairs Department, the Legal Affairs , the Quality Assurance and University Performance Department announced the results of the evaluation of the examination committees in the scientific departments.
The top three centers included the Department of Laser and Opto electronics and Mechanical Engineering in the first place, followed by the Department of Computer Engineering and Chemical Engineering and the Department of Biomedical Engineering in the second place then the Department of Communication Engineering and Control and Systems Engineering in the third place.
It is mensioned that the Central University Committee accomplished the procedures for auditing and documenting the degrees in the master’s record registers (masterchet) for all departments of the university, the evaluation results of examination committees in the scientific departments were as follows: -

The head of Electromechanical Engineering Department at UOT honors some students for their efforts in success E-Learning
The head of Electromechanical Engineering Department at UOT, Assist. Prof. Dr. Hisham Selim, honored some of the department students, whom Mustafa A. Kahdim, Alkarar Ali Sami and Mohamed Khaled Hilal, as appreciation for their effective efforts in urging students to participate, and the e-learning success process through their direct communication with the department presidency and the branches heads to convey the views and obstacles facing them and find appropriate solutions to them. Prof. Hisham Selim emphasized the illiteracy of communicating between the student and the teacher through e-learning and following up the video lectures provided by the teachers to their students wishing them "success for all."
