Instructor  Prof. Mustafa Majid Al-Mukhtar  from the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology  published a scientific research in the Arab Journal of Science

Arabian Journal of Geosciences, published by Springer, entitled:

(Future Forecasts of Rain and Temperature in Iraq using a Statistical Model)

The study dealt with forecasting the effects of climate change on rain and temperature in Iraq, where twelve stations were distributed throughout the country.

Data from the Canadian climate model were used in addition to data measured in the above stations. Where it was concluded that the country will see a significant rise in temperature and a drop in rainfall.

The Computer Science Department at the University of Technology held a workshop entitled "The Impact of Information Security on Improving Performance on the Labor Market" at the discussion room in the department.

The workshop, which was attended by Lec. wossam Ali, M.Sc. The importance of data security in the labor market, the factors affecting the protection of information in the labor market, the modern global standards for information security, and the potential threats to information security and its direct impact on the labor market.

The lecturers recommended giving priority and focus on the information security branch in the computer science department because it has an important impact on the rest of the branches and departments.

Farah Abdul Karim Abdul Amir received a PhD from the Department of Applied Sciences at the University of Technology in Laser and Electro-Optics Technology for her thesis entitled:

Medical applications of laser nanoparticles prepared by laser

Medical Applications of Carbon Nanoparticles Prepared by Laser

The discussion committee was set up in the hall of the late Prof. Abdul Muttalib Ibrahim in the section. From Prof. Dr. Raed Abdel Wahab of the University of Technology as President of the University of Bassam Ghaleb from Nahrain University and Dr. Dunia Farid from the University of Baghdad, Dr. Ghassan Mohammed and Dr. Abdul Rahman Khafaf members.

Prof. Khawla Salah Khashan and Prof. Majed Sakhi Jaber supervisors and all from the University of Technology.

In this study, the production of nanotubes of carbon nanoparticles with nanoparticles compounded by the laser cutting technique of graphite and copper immersed in non-ionic water.

The images of the active electron microscope revealed the preparation of two types of carbon nanotubes: nanoparticles of spherical nanoparticles (20-90) nanometers and nanotubes of nanotubes at 45 nm width and 275 nm length with some spherical nanoparticles (12-6) nm when using laser energy density Small.

The optical properties of the prepared carbon nanoparticles showed that optical absorption was increased by increasing laser density with two broad bands around 210 and 305 nm.

The researcher said that there is no toxicity or side effects on the spleen, kidney, liver and lung tissue of animals mice after intraperitoneal injection with particles of nanoparticles prepared for 4 weeks.

Systems and Control Engineering Department at the University of Technology grants MSC to the student Eman Nabel for her thesis (-------).

The research includes the design and analysis of the retroactive control algorithm based on the adaptive observer of two sub-stimulation systems, namely the pendulum and the pendulum wheel with the failure wheel. The adaptive controller was used for the purpose of estimating the measured speed while the regressive control maintains the stability of the system near the non-stability point.

The discussion committee was chaired by Asst.Prof.Dr.Farzdaq Rafeq, Asst.Prof.Dr.Omar Farooq and Lect.Dr.Sami Kadhim as members. Asst.Prof.Dr.Amjad Khalel as supervisor.
