The e-learning committee at the Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology set up a presentation to  the Lecturers   of the Water Branch and the hydraulic plants in the department to introduce how to use the Google Classroom system.

The lecture was given by Prof. Mustafa Majeed Al-Mukhtar, which included an introductory profile on e-learning in general and the steps of setting up classrooms and loading materials and resources on the system and how to create a homework or announcement for students.

The Department of Chemical Engineering at the University of Technology held a lecture on Reference Manager Mendeley

The Auditor's Reference Program (Mendeley) was held in the Hall of Al-Khwarizmi in the department, in the presence of the Head of the Department, Prof. Khalid Ajami Sookar, the scientific and administrative assistants, the heads of the branches and a number of Lecturer and associates and students of preliminary and higher studies.

The lecture was delivered by Prof. The course aims at encouraging postgraduate students to use this program to save their time as well as their efforts in writing scientific researches and researches In addition, it is a very useful program in the organization of scientific research.

The researchers dealt with the problem of the spread of mines and remnants of war in Iraq in general and in the province of Basra in particular of the existing problems that did not find successful solutions and steps to eliminate them and the negative effects and damage to human and material property. The aim of the research is to identify the areas of contamination by landmines and war remnants in order to reach a clear vision that facilitates the development of solutions by the competent authorities. A set of statistical and spatial analyzes possible and the production of thematic maps.

The Center for Continuing Education at the University of Technology organized a training course and a test on the validity of teaching for the period 23-27 / 9/2018 with the participation of trainees representing the institutions of the state and the private sector.

The course aims to demonstrate the validity of the faculty member and his ability to perform the teaching profession and carry out the teaching process.

Prof. Farhad Mohammed, Director of the Center, said that the syllabus includes a series of meetings with applicants, and the performance of the Lecturer validity test, as well as the presentation of a scientific lecture, the preparation of an integrated lesson plan, and presentations during the lecture.
