University of Technology participates Iraqi Red Crescent founding day event
Under the guidance of the Assistant President of the University for Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Professor Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, the Department of Sports Activities and the Department of Artistic and Cultural Activities at the University of Technology participated in the event on the founding day of the Iraqi Red Crescent, which was held in Abu Nawas Gardens.
A number of university students who have a talent for drawing participated in the event, and the university played an active role in creating many beautiful paintings that were praised by the International Red Cross official who attended the festival in order to honor an elite group of Iraqi Red Crescent volunteers.
The festival concluded by honoring the University of Technology for its active presence with the Iraqi Red Crescent Shield, which was received by Assistant Professor Dr. Amin Thanoun Ahmed, Director of the Sports Activities Department.
------------------------------Al-Ghabban check the final exam process for undergraduate studies and the scientific referred exam
On Tuesday, May 14, 2024, the University of Technology President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghabban, check the final exams for the second semester for undergraduate students in a number of scientific and engineering departments at the university. He was received by the department heads and their assistants.
During the tour, they reviewed the mechanisms followed, the type of exam questions, their difficulty, and the plans in place during the exam period.
The President of the University of Technology assessment the efforts made by the department chairs, examination committees, and all cadres in serving the students, as well as providing all their needs, wishing everyone continued success in serving our dear university.
University of Technology takes second place
With the generous sponsorship, encouragement and interest of the respected President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghabban, the Student Activities Department - Scouting Activities Division of the University of Technology participated in the virtual Grand Challenge competition held by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research/the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Agency/the Student Activities Department for the period of (10/23/2023) until (12/23/2023) It is a national competition at the level of private & public universities.
The forum included many activities and participation from travelers and guides, presenting the winning projects and presenting their success stories. The story of the important scout (Hasnain Taysir Ali) from our university had a great impact, and his story was chosen to be presented at the general forum of the Arab Scout Movement.
Students from Electricity Department present a proposal about agricultural system model
Two freshmen students in Electrical Engineering Department at University of Technology, Hassan Asaad Hussein and Mahmoud Abdel Moneim Mahmoud, present a proposal of (design and implement a model of an agricultural system using a microcontroller), under the supervision of Assist. Prof. Sabah Abdul-Hassan Katafah
They illustrated that this model can measure the percentage of humidity and temperature, as well as the percentage of sunlight within agricultural soil to control irrigation and watering of the soil and maintain soil fertility, in addition to the possibility of treating agricultural pests, fungi and bacteria to provide a specific environment for growing plants.
