Electrical Engineering Department at UOT discuss a dissertation
Electrical Engineering Department at UOT discussed a dissertation about:
(Improvement of the Performance of a Wireless Transmitter Based on Efficient Power Amplifier)
The dissertation of the student Firas Muhammad Ali dealt with the design and implementation of high-efficiency power amplifiers that work by synthesizing frequency harmonics, by developing new techniques and methodologies to model them and improve their performance.
The principle of operation of this type of amplifier is based on controlling a limited number of harmonics in the voltage and current signals at the output of the active element (transistor) to form these signals in a certain way in order to reduce the interference between them, which leads to a reduction in the power dissipated in the active component and thus increase the operating efficiency.
The discussion committee consisted of:
- Prof. Dr. Raad Sami Fayyad /the head.
- Prof. Dr. Jawad Kahdim Ali / Member
- Prof. Dr. Hadi Tarish Zabon / Member
- Prof. Imad Shihab Ahmed /Member.
- Prof. Dr. Azad Badr Ahmed / Supervisor
- Assist. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Hamza Karim / Supervisor
