the research aims to manufacture polymeric films from polystyrene using the technique of electrostatic spinning, then conducting chemical modification on the membranes using the sulfonation reaction, then conducting the sulfonation reaction using sulfuric acid as a sulfonation agent with a concentration (98% and 20%), which gives the membranes the characteristic of proton conduction and adds to it the ability of ion exchange So that the membranes became suitable for their function as a material used as solid electrolytes in fuel cells.

The discussion took place in a scientific atmosphere, where the student was awarded the PhD degree with a grade of (fulfilled) after completing all the amendments that were put forth by the discussants.
