The dissertation dealt with the development of a composite stent based on chitosan with materials for improved bone engineering tissues. Chitosan and polyvinyl alcohol stents were interwoven with natural synapses (genipin) and fortified with nanohydroxapatite at different concentrations prepared by electro-casting technique and examined through mechanical examination, wit ability, swelling, decomposition, antibacterial activity, cell cultivation, and in vivo testing.
