A symposium on the importance of psychological counseling in Applied Sciences Department

The Applied Physics Branch in the Department of Applied Sciences at the University of Technology held an educational symposium titled: “The Importance of Psychological Counseling in Achieving the Principles of Sound Mental Health.” The lecture was given by Professor Firas Abbas Fadel, head of the Division of Psychological Counseling and Educational Guidance at the University of Technology, in the presence of the Department Head, Dr. Raed Abdel Wahab Ismail, Administrative Assistant Dr. Uday Mohsen Nayef, and a number of teaching staff, department members, and students.

The symposium discussed the importance of psychological counseling for university students and its relationship to mental health, methods of dealing with stress and enhancing resilience to the shocks that people face in their daily lives.

 The workshop also addressed the most important negative behaviors, socially unacceptable phenomena, and methods of treatment and prevention. During the symposium, hosted discussions took place between the lecturer and the attendees, which included various topics revolving within the symposium’s topics, the most prominent of which was introducing the concept of mental health and the role of psychological counseling in achieving it optimally.

The symposium concluded with the presentation of the Head of the Applied Sciences Department, Mr. Dr. Raed Abdel Wahab and the administrative assistant, Prof. Dr. Oday Mohsen Nayef, presented a certificate of appreciation to the lecturer, expressing their thanks and appreciation for the efforts made by him.
