Civil Engineering Department hosts the TARWY Competition

The Department of Civil Engineering at the University of Technology hosted the “TARWY” competition in its first edition on the platform of the Martyr Commander Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis Hall.

The competition was attended by the Head of the Civil Engineering Department, prof.Dr. Ali Majeed Khudair and Administrative Assistant, prof.Dr. Wael Shawky and a number of university lecturers, employees and students.

The program included reading the  holy Qur’an, the narration of the wounded Hamza Muhammad Khudair al-Mujahid, who was injured in the liberation battles, and the opening of the “TARWY” competition under the slogan (to tell and be told).

Receiving the evaluation committee consisting of Prof. Fatima Arees Sultan from the Department of Applied Sciences and Director of the Women’s Empowerment Department at the Ministry of Youth and Sports, Professor Ali Qasim Hussein, youth policy expert and head of the Tibyan Organization for Youth Development, and the wounded Sheikh Hamza Muhammad, a member of this committee and head of the Ata Ali Al-Akbar Charitable Organization.

The competition included reciting a variety of narratives, some of which were recited in classical language, some in colloquial language, some in poetry, and some in prose.

The head of the department concluded the activities of the TARWY program in the first edition via honoring the winners of the program with certificates of appreciation presented via the Engineer’s Sons Association.
