The Environment Research Center organizes a scientific visit to the Oil Research and Development Center at the Ministry of Oil

The Environmental Research Center at the University of Technology, headed by the Director of the Center, Prof. Dr. Zainab Bahaa Muhammad, accompanied by the Head of the Department of Sustainable Development, Dr. Abbas Jawad Kazem and asst.L. Ahmed Safaa Abdel-Hassan, a scientific visit to the Oil Research and Development Center affiliated to the Ministry of Oil.

The aim of the visit was that the Environmental Research Center always seeks to build bridges of constructive scientific cooperation with official institutions in both the governmental and private sectors, and as a continuation of this constructive approach.

The visit included a joint meeting between the Center and the Environmental and Corrosion Research Department at Al-Rafidain Hall, in the presence of the Director of the Oil Research and Development Center, Prof. Ali Jassim Hammoud, the expert Zaidoun Khalaf, the Director of the Environment and Corrosion Research Department, and a group of the center's staff. Through him, the Director of the Oil Research and Development Center welcomed the visiting delegation and explained the nature of the work of their center and the activities it provides in the field of research for female students, and stressed the importance of

opening up to research centers in universities.

The Director of the Environmental Research Center gave a presentation that dealt with giving an introductory overview of the establishment, vision, mission and goals of the center, as well as the activities it carries out in the field of laboratory tests and conducting environmental impact studies for the benefit of the Ministry of Environment and providing scientific, engineering and technical consultations in the infrastructure sector, water, energy, oil and others. The discussions crystallized into a roadmap for preparing for the conclusion of a scientific cooperation agreement between the two centers in the field of solving industrial problems facing the oil industry.

The visit concluded with the two parties expressing their keenness to move forward in promoting constructive joint work in the public interest.
