Al-Ghabban chairs the regular meeting of the Central Committee that overseeing the computer engineering and information technology project:

On Sunday 20/12/2020, the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, in the presidency of the university chaired the periodic meeting of the Central Committee for reviewing and approval of the referral at the university in the presence of the university’s Deputy  for administrative affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid, and the scientific affairs prof. Dr. Haider Abd Dahd, the membership of each of Directors of legal affairs, construction, projects, government contracts, financial, control and internal auditing. During the meeting, the request of the company implementing the project to construct a building for computer engineering and information technology (completion of works) for granting an additional period was studied, as the period was approved according to the controls and instructions stipulated in the instructions for implementing government contracts for the year 2014.

The university president emphasized the necessity to make efforts to complete the implementation of the project within the prescribed period and to implement the work at the highest levels that befit the university's technological reputation.
