Two lecturers from Electromechanical Engineering Department participate in the fourth training TOT course in teaching methods towards blended learning according to the updated curriculum

The two lecturers from Electromechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology and the two members of the Ministerial Executive Committee to prepare trainers participated in the course on teaching methods towards blended learning, Assist. Prof. Dr. Mohammed Jawad Mohammed and Lec. Dr. Samar Jafar Ismail, in the course of preparing curricula for teaching methods towards blended learning according to the updated curriculum in Iraqi universities, which were hosted by the University of Kufa from 03/04/2024 to 03/10/2024 within its attendance week.

The course aimed to build and develop qualified trainers for the Continuous Education Center to develop newly appointed teaching staff from Iraqi universities.

The lecturers contributed to training faculty staff from all Iraqi universities for the Quality Unit, the Professional Ethics Unit, and the Scientific Research Unit within the government program to develop teaching methods towards blended learning.

 
 
 

The Department of Communications Engineering hosts representatives of Huawei

The Communications Engineering Department at the University of Technology held a scientific symposium in the presence of representatives of the Huawei Information and Communications Technology Company and in the presence of the scientific assistant, Prof. Dr. Ali Jabbar Salem, the head of the Optical Communications Branch, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Diaa Haseeb, and a number of lecturer staff and fourth-year students in the department’s green hall.

The symposium covered a brief explanation of the educational system provided by the Huawei Academy, which contains a wide range of free educational courses and certificates in the fields of information and communications technology, which is planned to be a gateway to cooperation between the University of Technology and Huawei in the field of developing students’ scientific and practical skills.

 

Al-Ghabban receives a number of the scientific figures who founded the Council of the University of Technology in the early seventies

As part of the University of Technology’s programs aimed at celebrating scientific and administrative figures who have left a scientific mark on the university, the President of the University, Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghaban, received on Sunday, 3/10/2024 in his office, Professor Dr. Sadiq Nasrallah, retired lecturer from the Department of Chemical Engineering and former cultural attaché in the  University of Kingdom Jordanian Hashemite and one of the founders of the Council of the Technological University in 1975. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Khaled Ajami Sukkar, Head of the Chemical Engineering Department.

The President of the University of Technology honored Professor Dr. Sadiq Nasrallah with a memorial gift in appreciation for the scientific and administrative efforts that he made throughout the period of his work at the university and in the esteemed Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

 
 

A lecturer from Electromechanical Engineering Department gains a gold medal

Alecturer obtained in the Electromechanical Engineering Department, Navigation and Guidance Engineering Branch, Dr. Iman Saleh Karim received a certificate of thanks and appreciation and a gold medal from the President of Uruk University for her participation in a patent poster at the Iraqi Inventors and Innovators Exhibition and participating in a scientific session within the axis of digital transformation and its applications in the scientific and engineering fields, which was held by Uruk University at the first international scientific conference on March 6-7. 2024.

The conference aimed to keep pace with scientific developments in all fields and publish research in Scopus containers.
