The Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering Branch organize a workshop about the role of the Green Team in spreading the culture of environmental awareness

 

The Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering Branch in the Electromechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology organized a workshop entitled The Role of the Green Team in Spreading the Culture of Environmental Awareness in the electronic classroom, in the presence of a number of lecturers and students of the department.

 

The workshop prepared by Assist. Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Wahab Ismail, and it is aimed to define environmental awareness, its components and dimensions, and the role of forming the student green team in promoting the culture of environmental awareness and investing in renewable energy in Iraq.

 

The workshop included several pivotal, the most important of which:

  • The idea of forming a student team concerned with spreading the culture of awareness and environmental preservation in Iraq.
  • Volunteer activities carried out by the Green Team in educational and service institutions in the field of holding workshops, afforestation campaigns, waste recycling programs, energy conservation programs, and investing in renewable energies.
  • Enhancing the cooperation with centers and institutions concerned with the culture of environmental protection.

Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering Branch organizes workshop on Green Team spreading environmental awareness culture role

The Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering Branch in the Electromechanical Engineering Department at the University of Technology organized a workshop entitled The Role of the Green Team in Spreading the Culture of Environmental Awareness in the electronic classroom, in the presence of a number of professors and students of the department.

The workshop, prepared by Professor Dr.Ali Abdul Wahab Ismail, aimed to define environmental awareness, its components and dimensions, and the role of forming the student green team in promoting the culture of environmental awareness and investing in renewable energy in Iraq.

The workshop included several topics, the most important of which was the idea of forming a student team concerned with spreading the culture of awareness and environmental preservation in Iraq, and the volunteer activities and activities carried out by the Green Team in educational and service institutions in the field of holding workshops, afforestation campaigns, waste recycling programs, energy conservation programs, and investing in renewable energies. Enhancing the prospects for cooperation with centers and institutions concerned with the culture of environmental protection.

The workshop concluded by answering questions and inquiries.

 

Applied Sciences Department holds a workshop on employing the university’s capabilities and efforts to serve the community

 

The Applied Sciences Department, in cooperation with the Student Activities Department and the University Environment Incubator Division at the University of Technology, held a workshop entitled “Utilizing the capabilities and efforts of the university family to serve the community,” presented by Prof.Dr. Imad Jassim Hashem from the Student Activities Department, and Dr. Nasser Abdullah Muhammad, from the Medical and Industrial Materials Science Branch, and Dr. Manal Abdel Wahed Abboud from the Incubator and University Environment Division.

The workshop was launched in the presence of the head of the department, Dr. Raed Abdel Wahab Ismail, and a number of lecturers and students from the Medical and Industrial Materials Branch.

It included highlighting the capabilities available at the university and investing in them to strengthen the infrastructure for university education and employing the outputs to serve the community.

The workshop addressed several topics, including: the university’s human, material, and moral capabilities, i.e. “the philosophy of education in the service of society,” as well as the infrastructure of university education, which includes the academic level of the university student, community and national culture, in addition to student activities that include physical activities, healthy nutrition, and combating drugs, as well as Training and qualifying students and graduates within entrepreneurial projects and integrating them into the labor market and university incubator.

 
 
 

Applied Sciences Department holds environmental model analysis lecture

The Department of Applied Sciences at the University of Technology held a scientific lecture entitled:

 “Analysis and estimation of environmental models using modern chemical techniques,”

Delivered by A. Dr. Shehab Ahmed Zidan, in the presence of a number of lecturer’s staff in the lecture hall of the medical and industrial materials branch of the department.

The lecture discussed the importance of thermal coatings in industrial applications and how to adapt them in the labor market.
