Civil Engineering Department grants MSc thesis about "Influence of Minimum Tension Steel Reinforcement on the Behavior of Singly Reinforced Concrete Beams in Flexural"
Civil Engineering Department at UOT granted MSc of structural engineering field for student Ali A. Abdul-Sadah for his research tagged:
"Influence of Minimum Tension Steel Reinforcement on the Behavior of Singly Reinforced Concrete Beams in Flexural"
It is poured 12 monoblock reinforced concrete beams with a rectangular section of 125 mm wide and 250 mm high and a clear space between the supports 1600 mm of regular and high-strength concrete.
Practical experiences have shown that tensile reinforcement has a significant impact on increasing cracking loads for lintels from concrete with normal resistance that the increase in tensile reinforcement has a greater impact on the nominal load and less on cracking loads for lintels with a single concrete compression resistance and that the results of bending resistance meet the requirements of the American code for this type of concrete.
