First Stage of the Three-Minute Graduation Projects Competition at the Department of Mechanical Engineering Launched
The first stage of the "Three-Minute Graduation Projects Competition" for undergraduate graduation projects was launched at the Department of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Technology. The competition was held in Dr. Munir Al-Mudhaffar Hall, where a group of outstanding students competed to present their research projects before the judging committee.
After presenting and evaluating the projects, the scientific committee announced the winning project submitted by the students:
- Multaqa Fadel Sabih
- Muntadhar Mohammed Faisal
- Mundhir Abdul Karim Taha
Their project was in the General Mechanics branch and was titled:
"Lightweight with strength relationship of mechanical parts by using topology optimization"
The winning project was supervised by Assistant Professor Najm Al-Din Mahmoud.
The judging committee consisted of:
- Professor Dr. Ikhlas Mohammed Qayyad - Committee Chair
- Professor Dr. Hassan Mohammed Alwan - Member
- Professor Dr. Mahmoud Attallah Mashkour - Member
- Assistant Professor Dr. Ammar Saadoun Abdul Zahra - Member
- Assistant Professor Dr. Ihsan Abdul Hussein Baqir - Member and Rapporteur
Based on the scientific evaluation and research content of the project, the students qualified for the second stage of the competition at the University of Technology level, where they will compete with the winners from the rest of the departments in the final competition.
This competition is a valuable opportunity for students to acquire presentation and delivery skills, in addition to enhancing their research and scientific capabilities. We wish all participants success and invite students to prepare for the upcoming editions of the competition.
