Computer Engineering Department at the University of Technology, in cooperation with the Department of Legal Affairs, organized an awareness seminar on preventing the leakage of books and official correspondence via social media. The seminar was attended by Assist. Lec.. Haider Abdullah Fadhel and Assist. Lec. Batoul Abbas Salman from the Department of Legal Affairs, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Farhad Muhammad Othman, Assistant President of Administrative Affairs, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, Prof. Dr. Hassan Jalil Hassan, Administrative Deputy of the Department, Assist. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Musa Dinar, and Lecturers and members of the university.
The lecturers focused on the legal consequences of leaking official documents and the need to adhere to administrative controls.
The seminar also addressed the impact of technological developments, especially artificial intelligence, in facilitating document leakage operations, which requires taking strict preventive measures that include tightening administrative control, raising awareness among employees, and conducting continuous research to enhance electronic protection methods.
The session concluded with an interactive dialogue that resulted in practical proposals to enhance information security. This activity comes within the efforts of the Computer Engineering Department to implement the anti-corruption program and ensure compliance with legal standards and the protection of official data.
