Communications Engineering Department Organizes Workshop
Within the activities of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division, the Communications Engineering Department held a workshop entitled "The Importance of Program Accreditation and Its Role in Enhancing Education Quality." The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Jalal Mohammed Jalil, and was attended by The Dean, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Afaneen Anwar Aboud, the scientific assistant Prof. Dr. Ali Jabbar Salem, the administrative assistant Assoc. Prof. Hussam Hussein Ali, the head of the Optical Communications Systems Engineering Branch Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Diaa Hassib, the head of the Wireless Communications Engineering Branch Prof. Dr. Mohammad Hussein Mari, and a number of the department's faculty members.
The lecturer presented a detailed overview of the educational outcomes required for program accreditation, with a focus on performance indicators related to the optical and wireless branches, and provided practical examples for each outcome.
The educational outcomes were distributed to the faculty members, with two copies for each faculty member, along with the identification of courses related to each outcome to ensure the achievement of the required educational objectives.
The workshop concluded with a speech by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Afaneen Anwar Aboud, in which she emphasized the foundations of obtaining accreditation, stressing the importance of scientific research as a cornerstone, and urging faculty members to present the scientific material in a professional manner that enhances the quality of education.
