Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering Department Organizes Online Workshop on Resume Writing

The Graduate Follow-up Unit at the Laser and Optoelectronics Engineering Department, University of Technoly, organized an online workshop via Google Meet on how to prepare a professional resume. The workshop was delivered by lect. Dr. Tayf A'id Faisal, Head of the Unit, and lect. Dr. Saad Zahraw Sakhi.

The workshop highlighted the importance of paying attention to writing the content of a resume, for both graduates and faculty members. It covered the key aspects related to resume writing, including detailed examples of resumes and their components, such as a personal photo, contact information, hobbies, skills, academic background, and work experience.

Participants also discussed writing a cover letter and its importance in job applications. They learned how to send the required version of the resume for the advertised job in the company, along with an explanation of the content submission mechanisms and the significance of each part in attracting recruiters to select a candidate for an interview.
