University of Technology Claims Top Spot in the Times Higher Education World University Rankings 2025

The results of the THE World University Rankings 2025 have been announced, with the University of Technology achieving a remarkable feat by securing the top position among Iraqi universities for the second consecutive year, out of a total of 18 ranked Iraqi institutions. Additionally, the University of Technology has been placed within the (1001-1200) band among the 2092 global universities included in the ranking.

The THE World University Rankings is based on a range of academic criteria, including teaching, research, and international outlook. This ranking is considered one of the most prestigious and reliable globally in the field of university rankings.

On this occasion, the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghabban, expressed his pride in this achievement, which reflects the university's outstanding academic level and enhances its position among global universities. He emphasized that this ranking is the result of continuous efforts by the university's faculty and students in the fields of education and scientific research, and highlights the university's commitment to developing an advanced educational environment that keeps pace with global developments in various disciplines.
