Al-Ghabban receives Military Industrialization Authority representative to activate the joint cooperation agreement
Within the framework of enhancing cooperation between academic institutions and the military industries sector, the President of the University of Technology, Professor Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghabban, received in his office the representative of the Military Industrialization Authority, in the presence of the Head of the Laser Engineering and Optoelectronics Department, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Majbal Saleh and a number of scientific and engineering staff at the university.
This meeting aimed to activate the joint cooperation agreement between the University of Technology and the Military Industrialization Authority, which seeks to invest the scientific and engineering energies available at the university to serve and develop the military industries sector.
In his speech, the President of the University Confirmed the importance of this cooperation, pointing out the vital role that universities can play in supporting the industrial sector through research, development and innovation.
For his part, the representative of the Military Industrialization Authority expressed his appreciation for the University of Technology and its scientific and engineering capabilities, expressing his hope that this partnership will contribute to achieving tangible progress in the field of military industries. He pointed out that cooperation with academic institutions is an essential pillar in developing manufacturing and innovative capabilities, which enhances the country’s position in this vital field.
The meeting agenda included discussing many basic topics to activate the agreement, including organizing joint workshops and exchanging scientific visits, in addition to opening areas of training and development for engineering cadres in the Military Industrialization Authority. The importance of cooperation in advanced research projects that contribute to improving performance and increasing efficiency in military industries was also stressed.
At the end of the meeting, it was agreed to form joint committees to follow up on the implementation of the terms of the agreement and set specific time plans to achieve the desired goals. The attendees expressed their optimism that this cooperation would contribute to achieving a qualitative shift in the military industries sector, benefiting from the expertise and skills available at the University of Technology.
