Computer Engineering Department host a workshop about engineering software accreditation

Computer Engineering Department at University of Technology hosted a workshop about engineering program accreditation, attended by President Assistant of Scientific Affairs and Postgraduate Studies, Prof. Dr. Khawla Salah Khashan, and President Assistant of Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Farhad Mohammed Othman, officials of quality divisions in the departments, heads of scientific departments, scientific assistants, heads of scientific branches, and director of the Dewan Affairs Department, Assist. Lec. Zaid Al-Anbari at the university, in the department’s conference hall

The lecture, delivered by Prof. Dr. Jalal Mohammed Jalil, included an illustration of how to apply for engineering software accreditation in scientific departments, and the importance of engineering software accreditation in the educational process in Iraqi universities. The workshop focused on how to enhance software quality and security through engineering software accreditation, tools and techniques available for this.

The lecturer reviewed the international frameworks and standards related to software accreditation and their role in developing high-quality, scalable and maintainable software.
