Electrical Engineering Department holds Baghdad Power Station Company students' visit
The Department of Electrical Engineering at the University of Technology organized a scientific visit for the students of the fourth stage - the Electrical Engineering Branch, to the South Baghdad Gas Power Station (the second) in the General Company for Electrical Energy Production for the Central Region, under the supervision of a number of professors and engineers of the department.
The students were briefed on the work of the station department, as well as learning about the reality of the Iraqi national network in light of the network’s actual load requirements, as well as dealing with the increased demand for energy, addressing bottlenecks occurring in the network, and dealing with malfunctions that may occur.
The supervisors and students were received by the station director, Engineer Hazem Rassam Al-Saadi, and a number of engineers working in the department.
At the conclusion of the visit, the students and their supervisors expressed their thanks and appreciation for the efforts made to make the visit a success in support of scientific communication between the university and state institutions.
