Chemical Engineering Department organize a lecture about the role of an employee in combating the phenomenon of administrative and financial corruption.
Under the patronage of University of Technology President, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Hassan Al-Ghabban, and under the supervision of the Head of Chemical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Khalid Ajami Sukkar, in cooperation with Media and Government Communication Department, the Chemical Engineering Department organized a lecture about (The Role of Employee in Combating Administrative Corruption) on Tuesday, 4/30/2024. .
The lecture was given by Dr. Sari Tahseen Rishan, Director of Media and Government Communication Department, during which he gave a detailed illustration about administrative corruption phenomenon, as it is considered one of the most dangerous phenomena facing countries as a phenomenon that works to destroy the development process due to the depletion of resources and capabilities and the imbalance in the infrastructure that underpins the development process and the threat to state sovereignty, and address the most important causes and factors influencing the spread of the phenomenon of administrative corruption, the most important methods of confrontation, and the duties of the government employee in combating this phenomenon.
It is worth noting that the phenomenon of corruption, especially administrative corruption, has negative effects that are not limited to a specific sector in society, but rather extends to all members of society and its sectors, as it has a direct impact on the state’s economy as it obstructs the wheel of economic development, leads to an imbalance in the social structure of society that create an individual behaviors of negative practices that hinder the development of society towards stability and progress. At the conclusion of the lecture, the lecturer was honored with a certificate of appreciation due to his efforts.
