The Electromechanical Engineering Department holds its fourth international conference with the participation of 234 scientific research from inside and outside Iraq
Under the auspices of His Excellency the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naim Al-Aboudi, and under the supervision of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, and with the follow-up of the head of the department (chairman of the conference), Prof. Dr. Hisham Salim Anaid, and in the presence of the Advisor to the Prime Minister for Scientific and Cultural Affairs, Dr. Aref Al-Saadi, Assistant to the President of the University of Technology for Administrative Affairs, Professor Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim, and a number of heads of scientific departments at the university, the Department of Electromechanical Engineering held its fourth international conference on electromechanical engineering and its applications, with the wide participation of researchers from Iraq and a number of Countries .
In his welcoming speech at the opening of the conference, the Head of the Electromechanical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Hisham Selim is stubborn with all the attendees, pointing to the increase in the number of research in the current conference compared to the first, second and third conferences, where the number of accepted research reached 234 out of 289, which clearly indicates progress and scientific development in relation to the Department of Electromechanical Engineering and its scientific branches in terms of topics that are covered And addressing them in the international conferences held by the department, which meet the requirements of the local and international market and contribute to scientific and cognitive progress and advancement. The conference research was distributed on five axes, which are energy, renewable energies, avionics systems and unmanned aircraft, as well as electronics, communications, electromechanical and petroleum systems, in addition to electrical and mechanical energy.
The head of the department indicated that the convening of the conference in its fourth session came after the Energy and Renewable Energy Engineering Branch obtained the national program accreditation by the Iraqi Council for the Accreditation of Engineering Education, which added a special scientific value to all participating researchers.
The opening session of the conference was held at Al-Kindi Hall, where it was chaired by Prof. Dr. Faraj Mahal Muhammad and its rapporteur, Prof. Dr. Ahlam Laibi Shreiji, delivered three in it. The first was by Dr. Firas Ismail, Head of the Energy Research Center at the Malaysian University of Tenaga, and the second was taught by a lecturer in the Department of Electromechanical Engineering. Jalal Muhammad Jalil, while the third lecture was given by Dr. Hussein Al-Kim from the Malaysian Petronas Group.
The conference reached several recommendations, the most important of which is the opening of research cooperation in all scientific fields with the Malaysian National University of Energy and other international universities wishing to participate in a way that serves and enhances the quality of scientific and academic research, and approaching relevant state and private sector institutions to benefit from applied research to take effect, in addition to expanding the axes of the conference. To include applied scientific research for disciplines in the fields of science, as well as encouraging and inviting companies operating in the public and private sectors with engineering specializations to participate in the activities of the conference in the future to enhance communication between the applied and academic side.
Among the recommendations of the conference is also the diversity in the method of holding the conference between the audience and giving a part to virtual communication as a contribution to the expansion of knowledge in the field of uses of electronic means of communication to face any emergency that may occur in the future, in addition to holding an exhibition for applied research. They were discussed in the conference sessions to benefit from them in the labor market.
The conference also recommended the importance of diversity in the method of holding the conference and giving part to virtual communication in addition to the attendance, as a contribution to the expansion of knowledge in the field of uses of electronic means of communication and the Internet to face any emergency that occurs in the future and encourage the continuity of this experience as well as reformulating and expanding the axes of the conference to include applied scientific research for specializations in the fields. Sciences, in addition to recommending the establishment of the fourth edition of the conference in April of next year due to its great importance in communication between various educational and scientific institutions.
