The Department of Materials Engineering organizes a scientific visit for its students to the Ministry of Science and Technology
The Ceramics and Building Materials Engineering Branch in the Department of Materials Engineering at the University of Technology organized a scientific field visit to the Ministry of Science and Technology - Building Research Unit The visit came under the direction of the head of the department, Prof. Dr. Hussein Alaa Jaber, and with the participation of a number of teachers, who are Prof. Dr. Hana Arir Smeig , asst.prof. Mervat Mahdi Hanous, L. Mina Faisal Khudair, and third-year students
The visit aimed to see the most important laboratories in the unit and what are the most important approved engineering tests for ceramic products and building materials that the unit provides within the Ministry’s work for public and private sector companies such as the laboratory of glass, nano-ceramic, building materials, soil, etc., as well as reviewing the most important modern devices for examining roughness and granular size For nanofat powders and mechanical tests such as compression, hardness, tensile strength and corrosion of building materials and asphalt products.
