The Student Activities Department holds a tennis training course

The Department of Student Activities at the University of Technology held an educational training course in Tennis for the period 15-16 May 2023, with the participation of 18 faculty members and department employees. It was delivered by the international lecturer, Dr. Abdul Karim Jabbar Nasser, and the trainer in the Iraqi Tennis Federation.

Prof. Dr. Najah Salman, Director of the Student Activities Department at the university, said that the course curriculum included the holding of theoretical lectures in the fitness hall, and practical applications on the grounds of the tartan playground at the university, indicating that the department has been conducting training courses in various sports, artistic and scouting fields. In order to develop and increase the expertise of the department's employees.

The international lecturer, Abdul Karim Jabbar, said that the course included several topics, including how to train and teach new juniors and seniors on the tennis game, as well as teaching serving skills, front and back strikes, in addition to knowing the rules of the game.

The participants stressed the importance of holding these courses, including this one, which was successful, and the smoothness of the information provided by the lecturers, which contributed to developing their levels and knowledge about the game.
